Slightly Anemic

I had outpatients today and my fev1 is still 46% so I'm happy about that. I've been put on some iron tablets as I'm slightly anemic, apparently they might make my stools black, nice....! I looked what anemia causes and it says it can cause fatigue and weakness, both of which I often get but I assumed it was just the side affects of medication, low blood sugars or just infection. It still could be these but maybe lack of iron isn't helping! I also have to leave 6 weeks instead of 4 weeks between my month on of voriconazole, as they are worried I will become resistant to it and apparently all anti-fungals are from the same family so if the fungus builds resistance to one it can become resistant to all of them. My weight is 54.4 kg, so all in all a good outpatients appointment. I had my port flushed and it even bled back, its seems to have bled back the last few times, so maybe it's finally starting to behave!

I'm really enjoying the yoga classes on a Friday now, they now do two classes back to back as demand was too high for just one class. This means that now there is less than 10 people in the class I go to, so the teacher gives us more attention and keeps saying I'm good at stuff which obviously is good reinforcement to keep me going back! I'm starting to build some strength in my upper arms now and starting to get some muscles haha!

Tis' the Festive Season

Well Christmas is here, the trees are up, I have done all my Christmas shopping and I have no money atall, so sounds about right!

Here are our trees

Here are some pictures from the snow which has all pretty much melted now
And lastly, here is my new hair colour. It didn't really go as I planned, it's alot redder and darker than I wanted, so back to experimenting with another colour I think...!

Getting Nosey about CF with Oli and Nush

The CF Trust have made a video to help explain to children and their friends about CF, however I think it's quite good to show to adults who don't know much about CF too!

Crash Bang!

Well I am doing this blog from Petes iPhone, how cool am I?! It will be short though as it's hard to type!

Well yesterday I managed to crash my car! The car in front of me stopped suddenly because the car in front of him decided to stop at a bus stop suddenly to say hello to someone. I braked but my car kept sliding because of the snow I guess and bump, i banged into his bike carrier thing in front of everyone at the bus stop. Great! I've never crashed into someone before so wasn't really sure what to say apart from whopps...! thankfully the guy was really nice and didn't yell at me! So that's my car booked in to get repaired next week! The car is still drivable but I'm scared now of driving in this weather.

Pete worked from home today as it snowed all last night and today and is getting pretty deep now, so he thought best to just bring his work home with him last night. He drove me to get my flu jab today and we got stuck in the car park but we are very organised and had a spade in the boot so we managed. I'm not planning to go anywhere tomorrow though, I'm a big wuss now!

It's so funny watching Alfie in the snow, it goes higher than his belly now so he literally has to leap through it!
