I'm feeling abit deflated this week after my high last week, I'm not miserable or anything I am just plain lazy and I don't seem to have done anything but time seems to passing. I think it is connected with the weather since it's gone all miserable on us again.
On Sunday we went for lunch at the place where we are having our wedding reception, thankfully the food was lovely, a good job really since we have paid a deposit now! Also on Saturday night Pete took me out for a Chinese, I got all dressed up and it was a nice evening.
I've not really done much and struggling to think what I have done! I met with my friends at the pub on Tuesday night and we had a good natter and I didn't get home until 11pm as my friend who is learning to drive took forever to drop our other friend off and then drive to her house so I could collect my car, the pub is only 5 minutes away from my flat! Yet we were trailing around for a good half an hour, oh the joys of learning to drive!
We had the dog training again last night, the dogs were all been noisy and it was harder than last week but I think Alfie is doing well. I'm going to take him to Pets at Home now as he needs some more biscuits and then we are going to go for a walk, although to be honest I would much rather have a little kip on the sofa. I did attempt this yesterday but I was looking after Murphy and they both kept climbing on me, to them I am simply a climbing frame! They drive me crazy sometimes!
My eyebrows look horrible at the moment, I'm growing them to get them waxed next week and when I look in the mirror it's all I can focus on. They aren't even that hairy, its just the way they grow out funny just to make sure you notice I have untidy eyebrows incase you hadn't!
Book wise I have finished New Moon and onto Eclipse, I am losing interest slightly as Bella is starting to annoy me. She is very clingy and obsessive. However I am still enjoying them, I think the first book is definitely the best from what I've read so far. I watched all the extras on the Twilight dvd the other day including the commentary over the film, ahhh now I can see what I have been doing with my time..... god I need to get out of this flat before I go crazy!!

Dreams of school
I keep having a dream where I am back at my old school but I am not younger, I am 24! I have missed loads of my classes because I have been off sick and I have no idea what is going on in any of the classes or were I should be. I look at my timetable and I cannot understand and I am just stood in a corridor (the one outside the library on the way to the science rooms) with people quickly walking past me, ignoring me and I feel like crying. I then go to an English class where my old economics teacher is and he is shouting at me asking why I am even at School since I passed all my gcses and a-levels and have even been to university, I tell him I want to get higher grades in all my subjects especially in my a-level maths which is clearly going to be impossible since I have missed all the classes and I am way behind. However I continue walking around unsure of where I should be.
Then last night the dream lengthened, I went home to my mums house after school which is an old type terrace house with big bay windows and kind of black brick (this is nothing like my mums house) and my mum had brought all my barbie toys downstairs. There was a massive barbie house (I have nothing like this) and she told me that all the white, plastic doors in the house had been fixed by some guy (Eric rings a bell) and in my dream I was furious because I knew the doors had never been broken in the first place and this guy had broken them and fixed them again just to get into our house but my mum didn't believe me, she was drinking some tea and reading a paper, and didn't even look up when talking to me.
That's it, I've had the school dream about three times now in about a week and the barbie house thing just the once. Weird! I actually liked school so I don't like these bad dreams about it!

Dog Talk
We took the dogs to a training course on Wednesday night, it last for 7 weeks, an hour a week. It's at this place called my pet stop and they also have kennels for your dog to stay in if you want to spoil them. You can pay for them to have tv's and go to doggie day camp where they all play in a big pen together, not that Alfie would like that very much!
There were two other dogs in the class and Murphy who may I add barked at the other dogs more than Alfie which makes a change! We did basic things like sitting, sitting and staying, standing up, that kind of thing but only in short attempts. The trainer said Chihuahuas are very intelligent and can figure out quickly if you are tricking them (we did an exercise where we pointed at random stuff on the floor to get their attention, Alfie got bored after about two goes) and they won't do anything if they don't get a treat, other dogs will do it to impress you, not a chihuahua. She also said it is likely he will never get on with other dogs which disappointed me, but we can teach him to not growl etc at them. We have some homework to do for next week, I have to make him sit and stay before I let him out, give him his tea that kind of thing. To be honest he can do alot of it already, we always make him sit before he gets his tea anyway.
Alfie also went to the vets on Thursday morning. He tried to pick a fight with a massive curly haired dog just as we were going into the room. Alfie now weights 2.10kg, he has put 10 grams on the little fattie!!! Everything seems fine, his cough has gone apart from when we went to the dog training he was coughing alot but I thought perhaps it was nerves. We have to give him the prednisolone every other day now to wean him off and see if his cough returns. If it does they may need to put a camera down his throat to try locate the problem.
Went swimming today and remembered whilst swimming I had arranged to go for my port flushing at 3pm so I had to cut my swimming session short and rush around to get there in time. I feel like I haven't had my port accessed for ages, it has been 6 weeks which I suppose is the longest in awhile. When I got there, there was another cf patient at the desk and no staff around. I am never sure what to do because I feel rude keeping my distance, I hardly ever come into contact with other cf patients, the hospital staff are usually very good at ensuring this, as soon as they did see me they ushered me into a room like usual!

Very Happy Gemma ! ! !
Hello it's only me!!
I am feeling so well at the moment and I'm afraid this means I am neglecting my blog and online friends abit. I have so much energy compared to normal so I seem to be doing more and I have also been reading the book Twilight, which if you have ever read then you will know it is obsessive and you simply cannot put the book down without feeling extremely miserable. I finished it today and shall be moving onto the next one (New Moon) tomorrow. I must admit, Stephenie Meyers has a way of making every girls heart melt and fall in love with Edward Cullen, I don't think anyone can read this book and deny they find themselves thinking about him the rest of the day and compare things to him. I have even found myself irritated at Pete at times because he doesn't live up to the perfect Edward. If you thought Edward was perfect in the film Twilight, try reading the book, I have even been dreaming about him, it's one hell of a crush! For anyone who has not read Twilight or seen the film, Edward it a vampire that falls in love with a seemingly quite boring, miserable girl. However Stephenie makes this 'dull' girl very interesting and beautiful, it's such a fantastic example of how beauty lies within and the brazen, loud girls are not always the ones that boys are intrigued in and want to chase. I also love the way that Stephenie makes pale complexions seem so attractive and pure. It has definitely made me rethink about my pale skin and I now feel quite proud to have 'porcelain' skin!
So yes, I am in love with a fictional character, don't laugh because if you read that book I think you will feel exactly the same (unless you are a man, I don't know about that....). Edward is the perfect gentlemen he wants to protect Bella, he listens to her. Some would argue it is quite anti feminist since he watches her in her sleep and follows her without her knowing, orders her what to do on occasions, rescues her and he is the ultimate bad boy but yet she loves him. Ladies you can't deny it, we all want to be swept off our feet and looked after by a drop dead gorgeous and strong man who is obsessed with us and notices no other woman, the way that he smells Bella and appreciates every small part of her is just skin tingling. Its so intense, obviously a relationship like this in the real world could never work and I sometimes have to remind myself that, but I can dream right?! Anyway enough of Edward Cullen.....
Other things I have been upto apart from drooling over a vampire that doesn't exist...
I did some gardening on Sunday, I planed some bulbs whilst Pete mowed the lawn. Some bulbs did not actually look like bulbs and I wasn't sure what to do with them. They were all stringy with no obvious top and bottom, so I put them in and hoped for the best! Pete then put some lawn feed on the lawn, we bought this thing you put on your back and pump it then it sprays the feed on the grass. Pete looked like a ghostbuster with this thing on his back, it was hilarious! I also went around attacking all the weeds with the weed killer, it is strangely satisfying killing the weeds, its like a gun and I imagine myself shooting them and saying 'take that you damn dandelion!'. They are now all going brown and crispy, its great! You can't outsmart me you stupid weeds!
In the evening I went out for a curry with my friend, she is learning to drive and has her own car so she drove us there. Abit scary at first she is pretty good, just abit jerky with the starting and stopping!!
Monday I did loads of washing because It was really sunny and I read my book in the garden and got slightly sun burnt. I forgot that voriconazole makes you burn easily! I had an incident where Alfie escaped into next doors garden as the woman next to that garden has a dog and Alfie seems determined to get to it! As soon as he came back in our garden he gave away his secret escape hole as he tried to escape through it again, the smallest gap ever! I've put a brick there now so he can't escape anymore, sorry Alf! I've been walking Alfie nearly everyday, like I say I feel so well so I am making the most of it, I even did 30 lengths as the swimming pool on Friday which is apparently half a mile!!
Today Pete made my day, he bought me a present! He has bought me book on Henry the 8th so I can 'impress' him on our trip to London in June. Can't wait to read it, all these books! When only last week I was saying I didn't have any! Between my books and my story I'm writing, plus my walks etc I am a busy and very happy girl! To make my life even more fun, my mum and I are taking the dogs to start their training classes tomorrow night, exciting! ! !

Gone Mad!!
Proof that Louis always had to be different!!

PS - do not bother asking me about what the story is, I won't even tell Pete. It's a personal thing.
On another note sorry no blog update for a few days, they are usually flying in! Also general lack of communication with the outside world. I have been inspired to start writing my own story, I used to write alot as a child and then have had writers block for around 16 years! I had a fantastic dream on Thursday and have been frantically trying to put it onto paper or should I say onto laptop! It's occupying my mind every minute, its kind of an obsession at the moment. In the meantime I shall leave you with a picture of Alfie on our newly acquired walk which has assisted me greatly with a quest for description in my supposed 'story' that is emerging from my quite daft brain!

They say that dogs become like their owners...!
Alfie went to the vets today about his cough and wheezing, he was very brave, he had to have a thermometer shoved up his bum which he didn't like very much! He is terrified of the vets, I can't blame him, everytime he goes something is done to him that he doesn't like. He always tries to climb up me to get away from the vet, bless him! His temperature was fine, it was a tiny bit high but that was probably because he was stressed out from the experience, his chest also sounded fine and his windpipe felt fine. The vet thinks it is some trapped mucus and it has perhaps caused some inflammation, that's right my dog is having problems like me, can you believe this??!! She has put him on a mucolytic called Bisolvon to aid respiratory problems where mucus is a complicating factor and also 1mg of prednisolone a day (to reduce inflammation)! I really can't believe my dog is having the same problems as me and the same steroids I sometimes have! I have to take him back in a week to see if he is improving. She thinks it might be allergy related or something, nothing serious as everything seems OK, he is not losing weight or anything and seems fine in himself. Might give him some physio! hehe.
Check out Salli's blog, she recently had a transplant and there are some really good pictures on there, warning! not for the faint hearted! http://ablazingstar.blogspot.com/2009/04/hi-im-back.html
Also check out this story of this woman who has had four organ transplants! Just amazing!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1169269/Ive-FOUR-transplants---Im-donor-myself.html

Subway is Evil !!
Here are some pictures from last night (I forgot my camera so they are pictures off phones).

We went to the comedy club and then into the bar connected to it afterwards (walking is not our forte!). A few randoms things happened, first I found a piece of wood on a table and decided I was going to smack peoples bums with it and tell them they were been naughty!! Then a girl came over and said she had noticed us in the comedy club and she was leaving so we could have the rest of her bottle of wine (we didn't drink it, could have been drugged!!). My friend who has a boyfriend but is abit of a flirt for some reason spent alot of the evening dancing and talking with a guy who I nicknamed Frodo (not to his face) as he was short and had a Frodo kind of face! I'm not bothered about getting chatted up by guys etc for attention on a night out as I know I have my hunky fiancee waiting for me at home, I'm more interesting in making other girls jealous of me, hehe :o) Anyway she went outside for a cigarette at one point and I had a very deep and meaningful conversation with him about been in the army and him wanting to do a degree, I have no idea why...! We went to subway afterwards and I did what I do everytime I go out and I ate a subway sandwich (6 inch chicken on italian herbs and cheese if you're interested!) totally aware that I had no nutrizym to take with it, I always regret it the next morning if you know what I mean... but continue to do it!!
We got back to my flat and my other friend and I spent ages trying to find a pound coin that she had dropped in the taxi, we finally gave up and got out to discover my other friend had disappeared! Turned out she had rung the buzzer and woken up Pete and his mate who was staying over, Pete was not happy with me but it wasn't my fault! She then said she was going to get a taxi from mine but instead decided to share a sleeping bag with Pete's mate and fell asleep so I just left her, she was totally bungalowed. My other friend was picked up by her boyfriend. Alfie was very confused so we let him sleep on the bed with us.
I have a tip for you, if you ever go on a heavy drinking session have a dehydration sachet before you go to bed and when you get up the next morning. They are supposed to be for when you have the runs but work wonders at preventing hangovers as hangovers are caused by being dehydrated! You can get them from any chemist or supermarket, they will be next to the tablets for diarrhoea, they are sachets and you mix them with some water.
I'm quite worried about Alfie, he has always had abit of a cough and sneezing problem but since he had his kennel cough vaccination two weeks ago it has got alot worse. We are starting some training classes soon and he has to have the vaccination for that. We took him for a walk this morning and he was coughing, sneezing and having breathing problems for the whole walk. They do say dogs grow to be like their owners but this is taking it too far! So I might take him to the vets this week just to check his breathing, can dogs get hayfever because I thought it might be that?

Happy Easter!
I've been busy so haven't had time to do my blog for a few days and I couldn't be bothered to do it when I wasn't busy, I'm sure you survived! On Thursday I went for my practice hair and make up for the wedding, I thought it looked nice but my mum said she didn't like the lipstick and my make up looked too natural, I also got told I looked pale. Thanks!! I was impressed with my hair, I'm having a big quiff thing going to the side, I was surprised at how much she could do with such short hair!
I had woken up with a terrible headache that morning and it just wouldn't go, I came home and gave Alfie a bath and his fur a trim and then just went to sleep as this headache was evil. It didn't go all day and I went to bed in the end as it was making me feel sick.
Friday we went over to Pete's parents as it was Pete's sisters 18th birthday so we went for a meal and to his parents for awhile. Pete bought his sisters present about 30 minutes before we had to set off, typical man! We also collected some sample invites that this lady has done us for our wedding invites, they are really good so think we are going to get her to do them. They match our colour scheme and are really detailed with flowers and beads etc.
Saturday I was helping at the barber shop and Pete went to see his Grandma which is about a 3 hour journey each way, she is very poorly (and 90 years old) so he is obviously upset and wanted to see her. He didn't get back until early evening so then we watched Terminators 2 & 3! Films where people travel through time just mess with my head because if you change the past you change the future so they would never need to go back in time to change the past but then it wouldn't get changed so then they would need to. ARGH, crazy!! I guess if you are always meddling with the past you don't know what the future is as it constantly changes, they kind of make it out like it was fate and was always going to happen whatever they did. I suppose once someone were to travel back in time it doesn't matter how they change the future because to them it is their past and not their future. I watch Lost as well and that is all about time travel so I think about it on a regular basis! I'll shut up now!!
On a totally separate note and something you probably don't want to know but it's part of having cf so I feel I should share it..., I've had constipation since about Tuesday. I've starting taking loads more Movicols than usual as yesterday my chest started hurting from the pressure and I've been feeling more and more bloated each day. I was quite excited when I finally went to the toilet this morning (haha!) but Pete didn't share my happiness. He just doesn't understand! :o)
Today we went to Church in the morning which was nice. It's the church where we are getting married so it's nice to show our faces and it is Easter afterall. I always get abit emotional though! I was disappointed they didn't explain Easter to us, they told us the story but not the meaning behind it apart from Jesus died to save us (and I only established this through the hymns and prayers). How exactly? It made me think though that Jesus died young which proves that only the good die young.
We then went to see my dad and then went for a roast at my mums. I'm going out tonight into town, I haven't been out on Easter Sunday for ages but if I remember it's a good night! I'll post some pictures tomorrow but I'll probably be very tired after my busy weekend!!

Bad Girl
There are two things that I am getting really bad at which I am not very happy about.
First I am getting really bad at been ready on time, I'm talking about 10-15 minutes, nothing too bad, but thats not the point. I always used to be on time I don't know what is happening! I guess since I don't work alot anymore I don't have the pressure so have got out of habit. Also doing my physio on a morning (which I have only been doing since the end of last year) including my tobi neb means I always underestimate how long it takes me to get ready! It varies how long it takes me to do my physio on a morning as it depends how breathless I feel and how much I'm coughing up etc so it's difficult to plan. It can take between 20-40 minutes and thats before doing the neb which again can depend on how long I can breathe in for at a time on that particular day. Sometimes when I have to get up early I'm tired after doing my physio and feel like I need a rest, it can be hard work! I'm trying to improve on the been ready on time thing, I swear!
The second thing is my spelling and writing in general. I am getting lazy because I know my computer can correct it for me. Since I finished University I hardly ever write on paper anymore and when I do it's nothing challenging such as writing a to-do list or writing a cheque! Therefore I feel like I am losing my writing flair (if you can call it that) and my spelling it becoming atrocious (I had no idea how to spell that by the way!). I am also using abbreviations alot more and slang from going on the forums, facebook etc, I am not impressed with myself! I am constantly asking Pete how to spell things, I feel an idiot! Also I type so fast I put letters in the wrong order. I am going to try improve this but I'm not sure how. Pete suggested I start reading again as I used to read quite alot, if anyone has any suggestions of good books for me to read let me know as that is my problem, I do not know what to get when I go to the library. When I write my blogs I am also going to check them myself rather than do spell check so be ready for some bad spelling!
Here is a preview of my wig and stethoscope for on my hen night! I know what you're thinking, 'man she looks so cool...!' haha!

More Sad News
Suzy (aka Poozie) you were very popular on the cf forum, we are all going to miss you so much and never forget you. Poor Alfie is going to miss his mummy, you loved that dog so much. You were so positive and strong, I'm so angry you didn't get your new lungs in time. You were so determined, making bracelets for cf even when you were so poorly. I admired you for your outlook on life and I hope you knew this because I remember I once told you. You wouldn't want any of us to be angry and negative however I can't help but have this empty feeling in my stomach at your passing and I feel scared for what lies ahead for me and everyone else who is fighting this cruel illness.
Please register to donate your organs if you haven't already done so, every person can make a difference to help save lives, Suzy had been waiting for over a year.

I was thinking about taking a break from the cf forums but Victoria has talked me out of it. I have also told her that if she leaves me I am going to come up to heaven and kick her arse because I don't think I could handle it. That applies to everyone by the way!
